Patients desiring our services should call us at: 1-866-442-0408 or 512-206-0408 (Austin, TX). Everyone who wants to store embryos with us must complete an embryo storage contract which defines storage terms and costs. Embryos are transferred to our Embryo Storage facility in liquid nitrogen shippers, which we supply, by highly reliable overnight air couriers to assure safe delivery and maintanence of storage temperature during transport. Fairfax Cryobank recommends that two tanks be used when shipping multiple straws/vials to or from the clinical facility and Fairfax Cryobank. Documentation verifying transfer of specimens follows each shipment. Embryos are then stored at optimal conditions for as long as you desire. At your request, we will ship your embryos to the ART clinic you select for future infertility treatment cycles. With over 30 years experience in transporting and storing frozen reproductive specimens, you can feel assured that your embryos will be cared for safely.
With the rapid advances in reproductive medicine, cryopreserved or frozen embryos can remain viable, potentially, for an indefinite period of time. Pregnancies with good outcomes have been reported following thawing and transfer of embryos frozen for over a decade. Hundreds of healthy babies conceived from frozen embryos are born every year. And the numbers continue to increase.
Fairfax Cryobank will arrange shipment of your embryos for you. Once your completed embryo storage contract and paperwork is received, Fairfax will contact the current storage facility and schedule the transfer of your embryos. (shipping fees apply)
The embryos are shipped in liquid nitrogen dry shipper tanks via Federal Express or local courier. The dry shipper tanks will keep the embryos frozen for 7 days from the date shipped and all shipments within the United States are sent using priority overnight delivery.
Yes, once your embryos are received, we'll send a letter to you letting you know that your embryos have arrived and are stored at our state of the art Cryopreservation facility.
A signed and notarized consent to ship embryos authorization is required to ship embryos from Fairfax Cryobank. Once the authorization is received, the frozen embryos may be sent to the clinic of your choice. (shipping fees apply)
No, the storage fee is the same for patients storing both sperm and embryos. The fees are not dependent on the number of embryos or sperm vials.
