Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I played for a soccer team representing the United States in soccer tournaments in South America. We experienced various cultures and living amongst the people who loved soccer as much as we (Americans) did.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I closely identify with my mother. While she might not be the smartest person in the world, she is passionate, dedicated, resilient and happy.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The character traits I admire in people include passion, artistry, independence, and courage.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? When traveling through South America, my soccer team checked into a lower-priced hotel. A couple of my teammates and I got stuck in the hotel elevator while going to our hotel room. Instead of an electronic alarm, the elevator had a mechanical bell (like a cow bell) that we rang. A hotel employee was only able to open the elevator doors by way of a crowbar. Later, after the tour of South America, the team was interviewed by a local paper reporter to gain insights into the trip. When asked by the reporter what was his "favorite part of the trip," my teammate answered, "getting stuck on an elevator with (me)."
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? With unlimited resources (time and money), I would travel to Italy to experience, among other things, their food, art and automobiles.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?If I am lucky enough to raise children, I would love to pass along humility, independence, financial security, inclination towards art and design, courage and honesty.
