Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?Christmas with my whole family was always amazing. My brothers were my idols when I was a child, I would count the numbers of days until they came home for Christmas. My family really always went "over the top" with the whole Christmas thing thing: lots of decorations, gifts, food, and togetherness. It was great.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?Probably my brother. We both play bass - I play professionally and he would love to play professionally. We have extremely similar attitudes towards science, politics, and religion. We are both atheists but are very spiritual in our way of living. We are both very focused people in endeavors that we get engulfed in like hobbies and work. I also can make him really laugh. We're not exactly alike, but I really enjoy when I get to see and talk to him. We love to specifically discuss science issues because we both follow them closely. Also, it seems like we can talk the most openly with each other about personal issues (romance, personal problems, family, etc).
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Wisdom. I like to see when someone quietly understands enough not to be overbearing or a know-it-all. I love sensitivity and humor. I am an artist so I am particularly fond of the sensitivity that it usually entails. I like people who don't take themselves too seriously. I like looking at the world through a humorous perspective. What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?Wow, there are a million. When I think of one overall answer to this question - it has to be my twins. They are absolutely hilarious 24/7. My daughter really rules the house most of the time, my son doesn't even realize he is playing into her every whim. She has this way of charming you into doing whatever she wants and she can't even talk yet.

Germany for its beer, and culture; and Ireland & Scotland because I absolutely love the fact that it seems to have retained a certain amount of its beautiful original culture in today's society. I am really fascinated by Celtic folklore, mythology, and history.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?A love of science, reason, and logic. Humanitarianism. I would like to instill a true love of nature and our world's environment to them. I would also like to instill a great love of family to them. In addition, I would love to give them the gift of art.
