What is your most memorable childhood experience?My family had a really nice swimming pool when I was growing up and I have a lot of memories that revolved around spending time in the pool. These memories were of lazy summer days, sun, parties, and friends. I always had a good time.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?The family member that I most closely identify with is my uncle. He is an entrepreneur in real estate business and restaurant business.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I respect when an individual has the ability to make their own decisions. Indecision and conformity seem to plague our country’s culture. It’s nice, but often rare, to meet someone who can tell you what they really want out of life, why they want it, and most importantly how they plan on getting it.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?To make a long story short, I landed at Cairns airport in Australia and found that my credit card and international cell phone were not working. So, I only had $400 in Australian currency to last me for the next two weeks. I then got pulled aside by airport security so they could check my bags. They found dirt on my soccer cleats that ended up being a $300 fine.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would go everywhere. I would travel through all of Europe, India, the Philippines, Africa, and South America. However, the one thing at the top of my bucket list is for me to hike the Himalayas to Mt. Everest, and to see the Aurora Borealis.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would recommend traveling outside the country as much as you can. Also, learn how to teach yourself new things and take care of your health.
