What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience is when my family took a trip to Washington D.C. over spring break when I was in middle school. I remember being extremely excited to go visit the monuments, museums, and historic places. I even collected a pamphlet from every location that we went to that I still have to this day. My brother and I enjoyed learning about our country's past and visiting the nation’s capital for the first time. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | The immediate family member that I most closely identify with would be my aunt on my mom's side. My aunt and I both share a love for being outdoors, camping and hiking. We also share an interest in traveling and craft breweries. We always connect over our recent travels across the country and what unique beers we have tried lately. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The first character trait that I admire in an individual is being a good listener. I think this is truly an underappreciated trait. Everyone has something to say these days but only a rare few can let others talk and truly listen to what they are saying in a genuine way. I also greatly admire the trait of dedication. Whether that dedication is in one's career, family, friends, etc. I respect each person's commitment to what matters most to them. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest thing that ever happened to me was when one of my childhood friends accidentally biked off a gravel trail into a small ravine. We were slowly biking along a flat gravel path when we turned around and noticed he had somehow fallen off the trail into the ditch. Luckily, he was not injured at all and hopped right back onto his bike. The funniest bit was how nonchalant he was about the whole thing, like he expected us not to notice. We will never forget this story and it almost always gets brought up with lots of laughs when we get together to this day. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money were not considerations, I would honestly love to travel the world. My first stop would be to Greece. I've always been a fan of Greek culture, cuisine, and the people. One of my closest family friends growing up is Greek and shared with us the many beautiful facets of their culture. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | If I do have children down the road, I would like to pass on to them the values that I was raised with. Firstly, always treat others as you wish to be treated. Kill them with kindness is what my mom used to always say. Second, I would want to pass on to never judge a person by what they look like. We never truly know what each person is going through and if we are kind and respectful to others only good things will happen to us and them. |
