What is your most memorable childhood experience? | First Day in primary school. Moved from nursery school, which was a class of about thirty children, to a class of about three hundred pupils. I remember it was so chaotic that it was almost impossible for one teacher to take care of all the pupils. I eventually moved to a private school where there was more organization. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My younger sister. She was the best cook in our family. Well-organized and responsible. We worked together for a while before she went for further studies. We communicate at least every week despite being thousands of miles apart. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | Most important is respect. Others are courtesy, being humble and empathetic. I admire people who are intellectually gifted and hardworking. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | Coming down an escalator for the first time. I stood aside and stared at the passengers coming down the escalator before I went ahead to give it a try. My first try, I jumped on and off the escalator while everybody was watching. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | Germany, to visit my younger sister. I have not seen her in twelve years. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Wealth and knowledge. Both are integral parts of continuity as a society. We are empowered if we have the knowledge, which makes us stand a better chance of being financially stable if applied appropriately. |
