What is your most memorable childhood experience?My parents took me to Disneyland for Christmas when I was six. I have loved to travel and loved Christmas ever since. It was truly an incredible experience that I will never forget.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My dad. He is just such a happy go lucky, wonderful person. He is so selfless when it comes to his family and I model myself after him.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?Boldness. Self-confidence and self-respect. I love it when people are passionate and love what they do.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I could probably write a book here... But definitely the funniest thing: I was the keynote speaker for the state student council convention and the governor was in attendance. My speech went well and I had a great time. Shortly after, I met with the head student council advisor and several other people who attended the meeting that I had never seen before. I slumped back in my chair and I ate quietly while the short meeting went on. One of the men asked me, "Son would you ever consider a career in politics?" The question startled me and I spit out half my sandwich all over the table. "Umm, yeah sure." I responded frantically. "Mhhm." The man got up and left. Who was that? I asked my advisor. "The governor” was the response. I had never been so embarrassed in my life.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would go to Tomorrowland in Sweden. Big techno and house music festival. Tens of thousands of people from all over the world, good music. That's where I would be.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I have two children. I just want to pass on the virtue of happiness. One simple lesson, "We must always strive to know ourselves, and to do things that make us happy, for without happiness we have nothing."
