What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experiences involve traveling around the country with my grandparents during summer vacations. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I am closest to my brother. He studies sociology and was involved in a lot of the same things as I, within academia and society. We have always been the best of friends. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire honesty. I deplore pandering to what the masses want and changing what you think or say in order to get by in certain situations. I like people who can be themselves at all times. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | On a Boy Scout adventure in a national park I got my self stranded on a chunk of ice in a glacier lake. I needed to be rescued by the rest of the troop with ropes and tactics. Needless to say they all got little awards that year. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would go to Germany. The people there are great and have such a good attitude. The food is just this side of exotic enough and the beer is an adventure of its own. Plus the strong US military presence there means I would not have to go far to find someone with the inside scoop on the local activities. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I am passing on to my children pride and ambition. I want them to feel proud of everything they do and to only do the things that will make them proud. Ambition is lacking in so many people and I want my children to always try to be better in work, family or satisfaction. |
