| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Having many memorable childhood experiences, it is hard to specify one being most memorable. A fun experience I recall is when I went tube sledding with my family. I was about 9 years old at the time, visiting my father for Christmas. I remember what it was like outside standing in line waiting to get in. The cold air whistling by, with snow covering the ground. Being from a much warmer place, it is something to get used to. Once we were able to enter the park, we all grabbed our tubes and went up the hills. Sliding down, I can still feel the frost on my face that was kicked up from the tuber in front me. We were there trying out each hill. Some were fast, some slow. On the last run, we decided to all grab each other's tube's and connect and go down the slope as one. I was the caboose. As my family members began the descent, the momentum was so great that I was yanked out from my tube. While holding frantically to the rope of the tube my cousin had in front of me, I slid down the entire way on my belly being pulled by my family in their tubes. Hands forward as if I was flying in the sky like Superman, but never letting go of that rope. By the time we stopped at the bottom of the hill, I lay there in the snow, not moving, just holding on to that rope. Something I'll never forget and, honestly, it really was a fun experience I can laugh about for the rest of my life. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I would have to say I identify most with my brother. We have similar aspirations, mentality/mindset, goodwill, honesty, integrity. We also share a lot of common interests such as in entertainment, life processes, mannerisms, etc. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I really admire someone who can be real. What I mean is, someone who truly understands themselves and the world around them. Someone who does good for doing good and not for profit or attention. I admire someone who is hopeful and looks to the future positively. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | In high school, my English teacher assigned a project which required the students to create a gameshow. We needed to come up with questions regarding a story we read. The class was split up into groups. My group chose the Jeopardy theme and I got to be the host! We prepped for a couple of weeks. When the day finally came, my group went second. We got through the first groups game and then the teacher called us up. Being the gameshow host, I was up front and center. As I stood there in front of the class, I could feel my heart beginning to race and a few beads of sweat drip down my forehead. When the teacher informed us that it was time to begin, I took a deep breath and loudly mumbled and jumbled my first line. I was completely incoherent, and nobody understood what I said, not even myself. The class just stared at me for a moment as I stared blankly back at them. Dead silence. Then, a moment later the entire class burst out laughing and I couldn't help but laugh myself. It was a really funny way to break the ice. Once the room calmed down a bit, we were able to get through our entire game without a hitch. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | Being such an open question and, to be frank, probably everyone's biggest dream, I would travel the world. I would see everything I could. Probably take a globe, spin it around, close my eyes, and wherever my finger lands is where I'll go next. If time and money are not a factor, where wouldn't I travel? |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Having children, my goal is to teach them to be the best human beings they can be. I teach them to be honest, kind, and gentle. Be respectful, especially to the ones that they love and love them back. I educate them on having good manners and being tidy. I also encourage them to be curious. To explore and wonder, to use their imagination. Be excited for the day, play, have fun, and be nice to those around them. |
