What is your most memorable childhood experience? | It would be a tie between hiking Mount St. Helens and deep-sea fishing. Those two experiences encompass my love of nature and gave me experiences I cherish to this day. The beauty and majesty of both environments can't be overstated. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my father. We had a ton in common, from our interests in sports, to music, to television. Even after I became an adult and moved out, we still talked about anything and everything that we found that we thought would interest the other. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire honesty, independence, and humility. I think that it's important to be as honest as possible in every situation. I also find that it's important to be able to rely on yourself and be independent, not to be discouraged from asking for help when it's needed, but an effort should be made to try before that point. Humility is an underrated trait and while there is nothing wrong with being proud of yourself, society and social media have turned pride into an awful trait that turns good people into bad ones. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One of the memories that I have that I find funny was back when my family and I climbed Mount St. Helens. We had spent all day climbing the mountain and were so close to the top that we all got a sudden just of energy and started almost running to reach the summit. Unfortunately, the top of the mountain was covered with loose rock and ash so the faster you try to run the farther you slide back down, which was very frustrating at the time but is funny to me now. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would love to see every continent and try to visit every country. There is so much history and rich culture all over the world that every adventure would be amazing. If I had to choose just one though it would be Greece. I've always been fascinated by the history and the beauty of it in the pictures I've seen, and the food is supposed to be outstanding. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Challenge yourself. Just because something is easy for you doesn't mean you have to settle for that. There is so much of life that doesn't get experienced because people are afraid to leave their comfort zones. |
