What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I remember my grandmother taking me on a train ride. We went on an older model train and made stops in different towns all down the line. Each town had its own attractions. I bought a train conductor hat at the end. I wore it all the time. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most closely with my mother. She was always there for me. She was a teenage mom and took care of me and raised me on her own. I look up to her and I am proud of all that she has accomplished. She is an inspiration. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I like someone who is honest. I like someone who shoots straight and doesn't beat around the bush. I like someone who is compassionate. I like someone who is funny. I like someone who is easygoing. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | When I was a kid I attended day care. One day, when my mom came to pick me up, I was playing on the playscape. I got excited when I saw my mom and I started to scoot to the edge of the playscape to jump down. When I did, my pants got caught on a nail. I hung upside down for a second and then fell. It wasn't funny then, but it is now. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to New York. I love the city. It is my favorite place to go. I know it's not as glamorous as Europe, but I love being there. I love the noise. I love the busy streets. I love the subway. I love the speed. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | A tangible item would be my class ring from my master's program. That would show them the importance of a good education and hopefully be an inspiration to them. A physical trait I would hope to pass on would be my height. |
