What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I have several childhood memories that stand out. I remember my first roller coaster ride. Surprisingly, my grandmother was the one who took me on the ride. She took me to the amusement park every summer. I remember all the years playing youth football and baseball. Our football team was very talented. We had several undefeated teams and sometimes got to travel. It was fun playing with my friends through high school. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify with my mother the most. We both have an ambitious, hard working attitude. She is in management, and I see similar leadership qualities in myself. Plus, I get my sense of humor from her. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire those who can laugh at themselves and who have a good sense of humor. I also admire those who are reliable and trustworthy. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | Airlines have never been friendly to me. When I was sixteen they lost my luggage on a trip to Miami. The problem was, my cruise ship was leaving the same day! I had to borrow my cousin's clothes. He is not exactly my style. I remember the formal dinner night and the whole family was dressed up except for me. I wore basketball shorts, a golf shirt purchased that day, and sandals. The picture was an instant family favorite. Another time I left my winter jacket in the airport. My flight was to Fairbanks, Alaska in December! When I arrived in Fairbanks the airport was so small it did not have terminals. I had to sprint from the landing area to inside the airport in sub zero degree weather. My friend, who was living there, said "You're lucky. Zero degrees in December is a warm front!" |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I believe people are too quick to leave the country and travel abroad. I would want to get a van and tour the country with my friends. This nation is so diverse and entertaining. I have been to other countries and the cultural experience was gratifying, but everyone seemed the same. When you go across the US, the regions are completely different and cross-cultural. Yet despite the differences we are all on the same page. I just imagine a trip like that would inspire one to move, or it might spark a business idea. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I want to teach them everything and be supportive. I want to be a good father and look forward to the challenge one day. As far as personality, I hope they receive my gregarious nature and sense of humor. I want them to be polite and well mannered too. Chivalry is not dead amongst my friends and family. |
