What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I remember exploring the woods behind my grandparents' house. The fresh air and wildlife always made me very happy. Finding a new place in the world that is off the map and just being one with nature. I really loved that feeling as a kid. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most closely with my grandfather. He was a very hard working man who always gave back to his community, and he valued his family. I have always tried to live up to his standards. He was a military man and a firefighter. He gave everything for his family and country. I have never met a better role model. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire integrity and humility. Taking responsibility for your actions. Not backing down from any challenge. Our greatest heroes would never consider themselves heroes. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I was surfing and a dolphin swam right up to me. I thought it was a shark and I screamed like a girl. Everyone got a kick out of it afterwards. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money weren't obstacles I would be in Aruba or the Cayman Islands. I love the beach, the water and the sun. Warm and relaxing. I would also like to go skiing in the mountains again. I'm not big on cold weather, but it was so much fun that I would love to go again. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would like to pass on my wisdom and life lessons without making them go through the same pain it took me to learn them. I think that is the toughest part of being a parent. |
