Updates - Family Medical HistoryNo change to donor Family Medical History: December 2013, July 2014, November 2015, August 2018. UPDATE Jan 2026: Fairfax was notified that a client has two children, diagnosed by a neurologist, with ADHD and anxiety at the ages of 6 and 5, respectively. The client reports that both are being treated with medication. No additional medical concerns have been reported and no genetic testing has been conducted on these children. While there is growing support that genetic changes in several genes have been associated with ADHD, there is no specific gene or gene combination that has been identified as the single cause of the disorder. As such, the risk of developing this condition is about nine times greater for first-degree relatives of people with ADHD than the general population; the risk for second-degree relatives (i.e. same sperm source but different egg source) is assumed to be half of that risk. Of note, ADHD is not believe to be solely caused by genetics; factors in a person’s environment are also thought to add to the risk of developing ADHD. UPDATE Jan 2026: In response to the Notification Letter sent out on this donor on January 12, 2026, Fairfax was notified that a different client's 10-year-old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of nine and an anxiety disorder at the age of six. UPDATE May  2026: In response to recent updates on this donor, Fairfax was notified that another client's child has been diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, both at the age of six.  He has also been diagnosed with grass and tree allergies. This client also reports that her daughter, who is a twin to her son, has allergies to shellfish (for which she carries an EpiPen), tree, grass, and perennials (including dogs and mites).
