What is your most memorable childhood experience? | When I was eleven years old, I took a final exam in math. I failed it because I didn't study hard. My father did not blame me and encouraged me to do my best. From that, I realized I should always do my best on whatever I will do. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My brother is the one I closely identify with. Because he is honest and full of courage. He always tried his best to figure out problems and never gave up easily. I learned a lot from him. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire adventurousness and courage. Because without courage, you cannot do anything. For example, after graduation, I chose to go to the US to pursue a PhD degree. It was a risk, because I didn't know if I could do it. But finally, I took that risk and got the degree. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I am not quite sure. There are a lot of funny things in my life. For example reading funny stories and making jokes on friends. So it is really hard to answer this question. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | First, I'd like to go to some countries in Europe. Because I have not been there, Europe for me is mysterious. Europe is beautiful and I can relax in the whole trip. Second, in the future, if it is possible, I hope I can take a spaceship to another planet such as Mars. Mars is mysterious and I'd like to take a look at the planet myself. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | First I'd like to teach them how to be a good person. I will tell them honesty is very important and never cheat. Second, I will tell them that they must be full of courage. Third, I will tell them to be happy and enjoy the life. |
