What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I was riding a bike while my friend was on the handlebars when we came across a huge hill on a narrow path with a drop off on one side and a river on the other. Unfortunately, we realized that the brakes weren't working after we started down the hill. Somehow we made it without crashing at all. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My mom, because she's always there to listen and give great advice. She's always supported me even when I decided to come to America to work and study. Plus, her cooking is amazing! |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | Honesty and reliability. I was always raised to keep my word, and if you say you are going to do something, you do it. I value these same traits in others. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | On a day that I had already had school, I came home and took a nap. When I woke up I thought it was the next morning and I thought I was running late. So I hurried and got dressed and ate "breakfast." My parents and brother decided to have a good laugh and told me I'd better hurry or I'd be late. They let me go all the way to the school, and when I got there and the school was empty I realized what had happened. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | My wife and I take a trip to Russia to visit my family every year or so. I realized at the last trip we took that after living there growing up, I had never really travelled around my own country. I decided that I didn't want to waste the years I have here in America and make sure I see all the beautiful places here. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Strong faith and hard work ethic. These are the things that my mother and father passed on to me. With these two things I feel like my children will be able to accomplish all of their dreams. |
