What is your most memorable childhood experience? | In the Boy Scouts, I spent each summer at camps or on adventure trips. I lived on a sailboat in Canada, hiked the continental divide in Colorado, canoed in the boundary waters, and learned a lot about growing up, depending on myself, teamwork, and life. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My mother. She is an incredible person, hard worker, and greets everyone with an open heart. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | Kindness, work ethic, integrity, humility, and humor. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I said "crap" and my mom made me put a bar of soap in my mouth. I told her it didn't taste that bad and she got real mad. Made me put the liquid hand soap in my mouth instead. I hiccupped and a bubble came out of my mouth and we couldn't stop laughing. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | Everywhere. I would want to see the world's history and where major events happened. I want to see where my grandparents grew up, I want to see the glowing algae in the Maldives, and I want to explore the different natures in the world. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Confidence in themselves to be whoever they want to be without fear. |
