Updates - Family Medical HistoryNo change to donor Family Medical History: August 2021.UPDATE Jan 2026: Fairfax was informed that a client’s male/female twins have been evaluated for developmental concerns and autistic features by a developmental pediatrician. Initial diagnoses at 32 months and 3 years described “mild autism,” but clinicians emphasized global developmental delay with significant cognitive and language impairment, noting that these delays can mimic autism; per the client, formal records list cognitive and language delay due to local practice and family preference. Both children have no spoken language, do not point, do not respond to their names, and have limited eye contact. No other organ system concerns were reported. Genetic testing was offered but declined by the client. Though no causative genetic etiology has been linked to this donor, the chance of this condition in other donor conceived children may be higher than the general population risk.
