Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? When I was really young, lets say 4 or 5, my parents took my brother and I out to the park to play around on the playground. We were out for a few hours maybe even more, and on the way back my dad let me ride on top of his shoulders as my mom pushed my brother in the stroller. Although it is not the most exciting or life changing memory, it is one that I have treasured the most over the years.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?My father has been the closest person to me as he was taught as an engineer, and lived his life as a swimmer. I followed in his footsteps as an engineer and have felt the enormous impact of discipline and resolve he had given me. I mirror his task oriented lifestyle and unending need to compete for my benefit in everything I do.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire drive and purpose in life, the ability to look at any problem in life with an open mind, and the want to better understand themselves and those around them.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I remember there was this course in high school I was taking and one of my friends had taken their Personal Protective Equipment and put them on in a hilarious fashion (Mask and Gloves) and made an incredibly stupid face behind our instructor while he talked, oblivious to what was going on.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I would travel to Guam, I've heard its paradise on Earth. Climbing Mountains, swimming in the beach and spelunking caves sounds like an excitement filled time.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass motivation for their passions and memorable life experiences to shape them into bold young men and women.
