What is your most memorable childhood experience? | One year for Christmas, my parents announced that they got my brother, sister, and me a puppy to raise together. We grew up with that dog and it really bonded my family together. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My mom. She taught me to cook at a young age, and I still regularly cook many of her recipes. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | Integrity and honesty. Without those, it's hard to develop trusting relationships. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | In high school I had to give a presentation for a conference that required business attire. When I was getting ready, I realized I'd forgotten to pack my dress shoes. With no time to get a new pair, I borrowed shoes from a friend. However, his feet were several sizes smaller than mine. They fit so uncomfortably that I tripped and fell on my face right as I reached the podium to speak! |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would go on an extended vacation in the English and French countryside, traveling to different small towns while reading books about the history of the area. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | A love of new experiences. Some of my best meals, travels, and friendships have come from trying something out of the ordinary. |
