What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable and enjoyable childhood experience is playing sports. In high school, and before, I played football and rugby. I mostly enjoyed the team environment, common purpose, and athletic exertion, as well as the ability to focus solely on the game. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my father and brother. My father was influential in my life because he imbued my work ethic and drive in my character. I identify and empathize with my brother because we’ve taken similar life paths and we always come back to each other, our relationship, and strengthen each other’s resolve through common purpose. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire self sufficiency, adaptability, empathy, and a team oriented character most in individuals. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | In high school I played football with an older student who ended up going to the same college as me. There he played football and I wasn’t good enough to play there, but I attended anyway. In high school, after he graduated I found a football workout shirt in our locker room that I liked and started wearing. I’ve kept the shirt throughout my life and wear it often. Once I wore it to an event myself and the older acquaintance attended. As it turns out it was his shirt, you had to be there. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If, and when I can, I’d like to travel to New Zealand. I would enjoy New Zealand for its outdoor landscapes and action adventure recreation. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When I have children I’d like to pass on to them my drive, compassion, and work ethic. |
