What is your most memorable childhood experience? | It’s too hard to remember just one most memorable experience as a child; I have many, Here’s one that has come to mind most recently: My family and I would travel to upstate NY every summer for our vacation, and my favorite time there was on the Fourth of July. We would go out on the boat and watch the fireworks dance in the sky as their reflection shone in the lake below. Watching them with my family and summer friends made me happier than I can ever remember as a child. It was truly magical. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I’m the youngest of six children, and I have around fourteen nieces and nephews in total. I could talk for hours about how each one of them enriches my life. We all have a very honest approach with one another; there’s a lot of love and we are okay with speaking our minds. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire compassion, passion, determination and thoughtfulness. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | On a high school senior trip, three birds, on three separate occasions, pooped on me. No one else was pooped on during the five day trip, just me. It was embarrassing, but hilarious. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | All over. Paris, because I’m a romantic at heart; Ireland because I would try to trace back my old family roots (I love old castles); Japan (I love the culture). I also plan to take a road trip across all the states. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Empathy, love and appreciation for others and the world, passion for life and their dreams, free thinking. Hobby-wise: arts/music, running, hiking, reading, baking and volunteering. |
