What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood memory was going to the state aquarium with my mom! I've always loved everything water related. I had a fascination with whale sharks and the state aquarium had four! My mother made a dream come true by taking me there to see them. I also met, petted and got a photo with a penguin.
It was one of the happiest moments of my life and I was thankful to share it with my mother and build a stronger relationship with her. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify closely with my father. He has installed within me the importance of respect, patience, humility and hard work; all characteristics I practice and display daily. He's been a rock and pillar of support for our family, and everything he's done in life is extremely admirable.
Although I've learned to come into my own and act on my own accord, a lot of what I do is comparable to my father, such that I identify with him closely. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | A big character trait I admire in someone is patience. I feel individuals who are patient are able to keep themselves under control, and thus are able to keep their lives under control. I feel that individuals who easily blow up, or whine about the smallest things are immature.
Other traits I really admire are humility and selflessness, especially the more successful the individual. To be aware enough to still support others, and not shove your success in the face of people, is very admirable to me, for no one likes a selfish bragger.
Finally, I admire someone who has some form of emotional intelligence, and what I mean by that is someone who doesn't take the problems and issues of others, and tosses it to the side as if its nothing. I really appreciate individuals that take the time to reach out and check in on others, and assist if possible. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | In high school, my friend and I made a bet on a college football game, where the loser had to go to school the following Monday in a pizza costume. As such, I showed up to school on Monday in my pepperoni pizza costume. Most people thought it was funny, some thought I'd lost my mind, but the funniest part was at lunch, a bunch of my friends bought pizza, but instead of eating it, they brought it to me and said, "we'd never eat your children, you are the pizza mother!" |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | This may be a stretch, but I'd go to the International Space Station! Experiencing the feeling of weightlessness, in addition to seeing the Earth and all of its beauty from a new angle, is very attractive to me. Additionally, I'd love to question, observe and understand the research & development they are doing up there.
Bonus! At some point I'd like to trampoline to the moon to get a photo with the faded American flag, wear a spacesuit, drive a space buggy and jump super high! |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | If I ever had a child or children, I'd like to pass onto them character and relationships.
To me, any individual that has good character deserves to be treated well, fairly and equally, regardless of any other characteristic they possess, with the exception of potential and/or committed severe crimes.
Also, true and genuine relationships appear when both individuals are there for the other when they say and/or do, not based on one's own thoughts and/or feelings, again with the exception or actual or potential severe crimes.
As such, I hope I'm able to pass these onto my children, for I know it will lead them to live happier and optimistic lives. |
