What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience would probably be the several vacations I took to New Mexico. It's a very alien state compared to what I had experienced growing up and the environment really captivated my heart. I now have an affinity and longing for the desert, I hate the cold and I am always happiest when the weather is a dry heat. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My mother is my only family member I have contact with so she is my obvious choice. I definitely identify with her independency and charitable/helping nature. We definitely are not on the same page in many ways but those previous two traits have been some of the best traits I could have inherited. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire independency, maturity yet having a strong inner child, intelligence, humor/wit, thanking outside the box and being very inquisitive about life. There are a multitude of character traits that I could list but the above mentioned have the strongest appeal to me. People definitely can not and should not always be the same so being understanding of other peoples differences in all manners is absolutely a concrete trait I look for in people I associate with. Intolerance of others is too narrow and close minded of a trait for my liking to associate with someone like that. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I really can't think of an answer to this question, I've had funny experiences but none really stick out. I take life pretty seriously and I make sure to get my laughs as I find it good for my health and well being. I did take several improv comedy classes so maybe that could count. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel throughout Central and South America. Currently I am aiming for a career in real estate so I have a great desire to learn Spanish (and Portuguese but more so Spanish) to aid me in the real estate industry and I find it inconsiderate to not know such a common language in the states (I can speak very basic Spanish). The Americas are a vast area of untold beauty and culture that is connected by land to my home country that I feel by consideration should be experienced as we are neighbors. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would pass on my independency for sure, there are a lot of dangers in this world and being able to think and do things for yourself is one of the greatest assets I've acquired yet. I'd also pass on my athleticism and love for creative movement. I worked several years ago at an acrobatically based circus school which started me in learning acrobatics, next took up gymnastics to progress and finished with capoeira (Brazilian dance-fighting). The human body is a beautiful and fascinating temple and it's my belief that it should be trained to be at its peak condition which has multiple benefits. Currently I am recovering from injuries since activities like those aren't easy for an older body to adapt to and am focusing on school but I got hooked and have many plans to restart my training and learn as much as possible. |
