What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Camping trips with my family: it’s where I fell in love with the outdoors which is a huge part of my life. It took a lot of childhood distractions away and without me knowing at the time allowed for some awesome bonding moments. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify with my father the most. He has an amazing work ethic and I feel he passed that on to me as I find myself often taking more difficult but rewarding paths in life. He has a goofy sense of humor; which for better or worse I also seem to to have inherited. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | Integrity and compassion. They’re simple things we’re taught at a young age but the world would be a lot better place if we followed along with those basic principles. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | A very unfunny answer: I wish I could nail a specific thing down; there’s been so many throughout my life. I’ve been fortunate that humor has always played a big role in my life and friends and family always keep me laughing. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | The Seychelles or the Christmas Island/South Pacific islands are on the top of my list. I’ve spent a lot of time in mountains so a beach setting would be a nice change of pace. The remoteness and ability to unplug and relax is highly appealing. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Work ethic, compassion, humility, patience, sense of humor, and confidence. |
