What is your most memorable childhood experience? | At first glance it might not be the most enjoyable childhood experience, but my most memorable childhood experience is witnessing my parents go through a separation. The experience of living in a home that is filled with anger and resentment was very challenging to me as a kid.I was confused as to why they were arguing, I felt guilty as if it was my fault. What makes this awful experience memorable is the fact that my parents never gave up on each other. Yes they separated, but they never divorced. They took the needed time to take a step away and figure out what they wanted and what was needed. They eventually reunited, talked through their problems and found solutions to make things work. Because of that, I learned that giving up on things you cared about was a coward's solution. Things take time and work to blossom and sometimes that work challenges us to our core. Thanks to my parents, I know to keep pushing no matter what life throws at me. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | Besides being a spitting image of him, the family member I closely identify with is my father. I always looked up to how he lived his live with such joy and love. As I have grown into the person I am today, I use everything he taught me and try to live as he did. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The traits that I admire are honesty and respect. It is extremely important that the people I am close with are honest with me, and in turn, I am honest with them. Even when disagreements happen, it is important to talk things out honestly. Respect goes hand in hand with honesty. As long as there is respect we can always fix any problems and continue to grow as individuals. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | There have been many funny things that happened to me but one that stands out. It occurred during my of my Dungeons and Dragons sessions. Although the game is a table top game, my group really gets into character and the role play can be hilarious. In this one situation, our group was interrogating a bad guy and somehow the tables turned and each player was interrogating each other. We all remained in character and the pursuing roleplay was so funny and lasted for way to long. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Argentina as I have never been and so much of my father's family lives there. I would love to meet all of my extended family and stay with them on their large polo ranches. The whole family lives on these ranches were there are over 100 horses, and every weekend everyone gets together for large barbecues. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I hope I am able to pass on the importance of great relationships. I want them to see how much family relationships and friendships mean to me. It is so important to have the support of family and friends during good times and bad times. |
