What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience is making homemade tortillas with my late grandmother. We would always do it before big family gatherings and it was my first cooking experience with my favorite person. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my dad because we are both very creative. When I was a child, he would help with my arts and crafts school projects like posters, shoe box displays, etc. As I got older, we would also work on holiday displays. Halloween was my favorite. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire self-awareness in an individual because recognizing your own feelings before acting is a great trait to have in intimate, family, and professional relationships. Other traits I admire are honesty, humility, confidence, integrity, and tenacity. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I remember in undergrad I was late to an Ornithology exam. I ran out of my dorm in my pajamas and halfway across campus bird poop fell on my face. I didn't have time to go back to my dorm so I washed off in a campus fountain that was on my way to class. It is said that bird poop on you is good luck. It must have been because I aced my exam. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. I am very interested in wildlife conservation and would like to experience an African Safari in my lifetime. Ever since I first watched the Lion King I wanted to go on a safari. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When and if I ever have children I would like to pass on my ambition to them. I would like to see them work to achieve their goals and not let failure stop them. |
