What is your most memorable childhood experience? | When I think of my childhood, I think of all the times playing basketball in the pool with my brothers, nephew, and dad. That is the memory that comes to me when I think of a time of pure happiness. Some other memorable moments would be my youth baseball games and family road trips that my parents loved to take us on. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I think I most closely identify with my oldest brother. Growing up, he was the one I was always trying to be like. We played baseball together and I consider myself very lucky to have someone to learn from and look up to from a young age. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The most important character traits to me would be simplicity, patience, and compassion. I truly admire someone who lives their life for others. A world full of compassion would have no strife. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I think the funniest/most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me was on a Carnival cruise with some friends. As part of a "scavenger hunt" type game, someone on our team had to strip down to their underwear, put on a woman's bra, and run up to the stage and dance to get a point for the team. Well that someone was me....not exactly my finest moment. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would like to visit China at some point in my life. My father spent a lot of time there as a teacher of Chinese medicine and Qi Gong, and I would always love hearing his stories about his time there. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would hope to pass on to my children my patient and pragmatic personality. That is something that, I believe, has helped me out of a lot of problems that I have encountered throughout my life. I hope that they also inherit at least some of my athletic abilities. I would love to someday watch my kids play sports and pass on all the knowledge that I have to them. |
