What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I won the free-throw shooting championship in elementary school for the local Junior NBA program. I was 10 years old and scored 20 out of 20 free throws. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my mother. We’ve always had a close relationship and she has been someone I’ve always been comfortable confiding in and sharing experiences with. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire respectful assertiveness, being unabashed, integrity, honesty, persuasiveness, persistence, emotional intelligence, and creativeness. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | It’s funny in retrospect, but I was towing a car with a U-Haul, and had to stop for gas. The station was so small I almost couldn’t back up and make it out of the parking lot. I had to make lots of mini adjustments, but I finally made it out. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Greece, to visit the homeland of my ancestors, and see part of the history, culture, and architecture of ancient Rome. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would pass onto them the character traits mentioned above, with the primary hope that they live their life according to their own plans and desires, and not feel pressure to meet any societal expectations. I would want them to be happy, and to 1) live in a place of the world they like, and 2) find purposeful meaning in life, whether career related or otherwise. |
