What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience would have to be winning the state championship for lacrosse as a HS junior. Our team that year was really good, and we had gumption. Getting to the championship was a long road and there were bumps but we were able to persevere. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my sister. We are 16 months apart and have always been close. We have an older brother who played the part when we were younger, so we got really close. We keep in close contact. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I think humor, honesty, and perseverance are the most important qualities. Each of those really show how a human works in life. Being funny just shows to me that you can have a lighter side. Honesty tells me that you are a “straight-shooter” and are willing to admit fault. Perseverance tells me that you won’t quit no matter how hard a situation is. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | When I was a young child, there was a home video of a trip to the zoo where a bird pooped on my head. My family rediscovered this one day and it was just a funny moment that continued for hours into the night. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Norway. I love the fjords and the natural beauty of the area. I think it takes a strong person to live in there, so I also respect their desire and strength. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would want them to know that life is what you make. Things will be hard at some point and no matter what, you’ll always have someone who can listen and provide advice, when and if it is wanted. I also want my kids to know that life is about enjoying the little things. |
