What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience is breaking the middle school mile record. When I first started running track it was only because I had endless energy and my brother thought I might be good. I was a bit of a natural right out of the gate and set my goal to break the mile record. It ended up happening on my last meet of the year. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my brother. My brother is as good a friend as any friend I have. He has always encouraged and supported me my entire life. He taught me more than anyone else and I will always be grateful to have him in my life. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire effort. As a person who tries very hard and who has a lot of energy and hustle, I admire those that give maximum effort. It is very much a choice to give all of yourself and it isn't always the easiest. I wasn't the best basketball player on my high school team but whenever I was on the court, I was giving my all. I admire people that do the same. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | When my sister got married, I went to give her a small congratulations kiss on the cheek, but she turned at the last second and our lips collided. We both were disgusted but we got over it quickly. Unfortunately, my cousin happened to be taking a picture at that exact moment. Wouldn't you know it we are in the background, and it looks like I'm making out with my sister on her wedding day. My family makes fun of me for it to this day. If not the funniest thing to happen to me, it for sure is the most embarrassing. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel around the world and jump into water from high up cliffs and rock formations. I don't know why. I've just always wanted to. Growing up, I had a high dive that overlooked my family’s pond and I always wished it was higher. So that is what I'd do. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I don't plan on having children but if I did, I would just want them to be decent people. I would try hard to teach them to consider others’ feelings. I would teach them right from wrong. I would teach them about logic and context. I would try to put them into a position to be good people and do good things. Hopefully, I could teach them lessons that it took me a long time to learn. |
