What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience was watching fireworks by the riverbank of the Potomac River on the Fourth of July. The pop of the fireworks, the flash of lights, it was all so spectacular and amazing. I remember sitting in awe throughout the entire 30 minutes show. No fireworks I’ve seen since then have been quite so incredible or memorable. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | The immediate family member that I most closely identify with is my father, because he can be quite stubborn. Once he sets his mind on a goal, he will attempt to accomplish it with everything he’s got. I find myself acting the same way. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The character trait that I admire the most in an individual is perseverance. It’s a trait that I value in myself as it allows one to overcome adversity and achieve eventual success. I may also admire perseverance as I find it discouraging to see others give up. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest thing to ever happen to me was literally slipping on a banana peel in high school. I slipped, and the banana peel ended up hitting one of my friends right in his chest. I laughed. They laughed. It was a good time. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to every single city in the world. I absolutely love getting to experience local cultures and cuisines. Ideally, I’d get to spend at least a month in each one so I would get a decent feel for the lifestyle there. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When and if I ever have children I would like to pass on to them a house or condo of their own. Having their own place would make both their lives and my own life easier. I would prefer to pass on something more personal like my book collection, but many people don’t read physical books these days, so I feel like something practical would be better. |
