What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I moved to New Zealand at age of 13 by myself. I didn’t know a word of English and picked up the language very rapidly. I spent 5 years there and it became the most formative experience of my childhood. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my father. It was natural as he was the only male member of my small family. He was also well respected by people around me due to his academic and career achievements. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire courage, intelligence, and passion. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I can't think of one funniest thing. Not because there were too many of them in the running to be the funniest. But I think I just don't perceive and remember life events that way. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Mars. It would be the first manned mission to another planet. Space travel is cool. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I want to pass on my philosophy around servant leadership. Life has more meaning when you put it toward serving other people, communities, and the greater good. I also want to provide them a great opportunity for education. |
