What is your most memorable childhood experience? | When I was in middle school, I went to a summer camp. This summer camp there were two teams, separated by a bonfire. The goal for the campers was to extinguish the other team's bonfire. I was successful in preventing our fire from being extinguished. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my sister. She wants to protect the environment, and she loves the outdoors. I always enjoy going to visit her and we go for many hikes and go backpacking often when I go back home. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I enjoy intelligence. I find that the smarter the person the more they have to say. I am a talker by nature and love thoughtful discussions. I also love it when a person loves to bike, loves to travel by train and other alternative modes of transportation. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One time I had to go poop. I was about 12 years old and never had an accident after my childhood, but this time I was in trouble. My family went to a trampoline park, there were a bunch of kids there. And I accidentally released a turd. I blamed it on my little cousin, who was about 5 years old at the time. No one found out it was me. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel the country by Amtrak. I would stop in every major city and explore and try to live as though I was a local. Eventually, when I had seen everything, I would take a boat to Europe and do the same thing but in Europe. I would figure out my favorite spot and live there until I die. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I wouldn't pass very much to my children, just because it is not really what my family does. We have never been a very wealthy family, but everyone has turned out to be successful. I would rather opt for my wealth to be donated to several institutions. I would donate the money to public radio, public libraries, and the local school. |
