What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I loved running through the woods with my friends and brothers. We spent 3 summers travelling to see some of the national parks. It helped me realize there's more to our world than just the small town in which I grew up. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I would identify more with my middle brother. He and I have similar personalities. We're both able to see the seriousness of a situation, but we both also enjoy joking to break the tension and just having fun when it's not needed. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire boldness without being rude, and confidence without being cocky. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One time in high school, my best friend and I were driving down a country road at night. Suddenly, we were hit by something. I said, "I think we were just hit by an owl!" We both paused and then continued to laugh for a solid minute. Once we calmed down, we turned around and tried to find the poor thing, but we weren't sure where it was exactly and couldn't find it. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I want to visit what I call the 3 "I’s”. I'd go to Ireland, Iceland, and Italy. I'd travel to Ireland and Iceland for the same reasons: to see the beautiful, peaceful landscape and to relax. I'd go to Italy because my wife wants to visit. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I want them to know that It's okay to cry, just don't do it in excess. Nobody can make you feel anything you don't let them. Work hard and you will be rewarded, though it may not be immediate. There's nothing wrong with accepting help or handouts, just don't expect them of people. |
