Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I have fond memories of going to a farm with my family for vacation and riding horses from sunrise to sunset. It made me feel free, full of life. I used to go to that farm every year, but the most memorable time was when I was about 10 years old. I still remember on our way back to the main house at the end of a long day, I fell asleep and hit my head with a tree branch.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my uncle on my father's side. We have similar ideas about life and money management.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire honesty and intelligence. Honesty because it’s hard to find someone that really opens up and shares what he or she thinks. And intelligence because I think that the day that you don’t learn something new is a wasted day. It tells me that someone is a person I can count on and that she or he can help me to grow as an individual.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I got stuck in Puerto Rico for an extra week because all airports were closed in Florida because of a storm. I was on vacation. We booked an all-inclusive resort and did 4-wheel drive tours, visited the volcano, and several little towns around the area.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I’d visit Australia. The natural wildlife and the architectural wonders there are things that I would like to see in person.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I hope to pass on my knowledge and optimism. I know a lot of people that don’t feel happy with what they have, no matter how much money or possessions they have. So, I want them to be able to see the positive side of everything. My father used to have a factory, and he used to make a lot of money. When he lost everything, I learned what it’s like to be on both sides of the spectrum and learned to value what we make by ourselves. No matter where you are, you can always get better.
