What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I fondly remember winning a chess tournament after all the training with my father. I felt really proud of what I accomplished and happy for being in the little news spot. I was eight years old, and it was the kid’s tournament of the town I lived at the time. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my little sister. We spend a lot of time together and share similar tastes. We both have the same rather acid humor, music interests, and relaxed way of seeing life. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire people who have a sense of humor and skill in their field. I think that everything can be funny in some way and finding it requires wit. It’s always great to see someone being good at what they’ve dedicated themselves to doing. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | As a punishment for telling a political joke in class I had to explain it to the whole school. The punishment ended up being a lot of fun because it made me prepare a quick presentation about it and tell the joke to different classes and most of them enjoyed it. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I’d travel to Russia. I’m learning the language, and I would like to see the places that inspired my favorite books. For example, Saint Petersburg and Moscow because of some of Tolstoy’s books, Metro 2033 and Petrovsky Island where Raskolnikov has his dreams in Crime and Punishment. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Even though I may not be directly involved in raising children, I hope to pass on the potential of good health and any positive genetic traits I carry. |
