What is your most memorable childhood experience? | In my early schooldays of elementary school, I remember having a very spread out and enjoyable playground. There was an area for four squares, kickball, soccer, and basketball. Being able to have a large variety of sports as a kid and being able to see myself grow through playing was a lot of fun. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I would identify most closely with my mother. While I am a firm believer in family is what you make it and that sometimes friends can be brothers or sisters, in terms of blood-related relatives I am not as close with some of my family as others. My mother and I have not always got along with each other though as the years have gone on and times have changed, we have helped each other grow as people. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | My favorite trait in a person is passion. A person with motivation, drive, or discipline to work toward a goal is something I can truly admire. Honesty and communication are also important, though it’s the spark in someone’s eyes from being passionate I just really enjoy seeing. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | It is difficult to pick the “funniest" moment of life as it has so many. From jokes to interesting circumstances there's a lot I take humor in. Some of my funniest moments are stories from when I was in the middle of the ocean, on a boat with some of the best and worst people I could think of. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would love to visit Japan, today if possible. There's a lot of wonderous culture, atmosphere, and life in Japan that if I were able to go with no work or financial worries, I would spend at least a month there. Between having local and authentic food, being able to enjoy some of the quality entertainment in person that is exclusive to the country and the 99% chance that I'd be able to buy and leave with a car is everything I could want out of a dream vacation. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | Ideally, my better genes and the habits that I've developed as an adult. Children are brought up half nature and half nurture. The way that they are is half from genetics and half from what they learn. I would try to do things differently than my parents as we always want better for our offspring but as times change things may be difficult and I would see some of what my parents had to deal with. |
