What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Growing up, I made friends with many of the children in my neighborhood. Each day after school, we'd rush to finish our homework so that we could play kickball together. Having time and space to be myself with a ragtag group was a great formative experience. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I most closely identify with my older brother. Only a few years apart, we shared many interests and hobbies. We helped each other develop into well rounded and happy adults. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I find genuine compassion to be the most admirable trait. To me this means being willing to give someone time or resources without being prompted to or expecting anything in return. The world needs people who are willing to go above and beyond. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | When I was in Greece for vacation, I decided to go out with my friend on a boat. On a scorching hot and sunny day, I forgot to bring my sunscreen and decided to stay out. We both got really sunburnt, and the next day, my friend's grandmother forcibly rubbed Greek Yogurt all over our burns. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would travel to Australia. Their continent has such a unique ecosystem, on both land and in water. The culture is drastically different from most other countries. Having started as a penile colony, the origins of Australia are also extremely fascinating. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When I have children, I want to pass on my resilience, empathy, and curiosity. Having an interest in how the world around us works, the ability to bounce back from setbacks, and a good moral conscience will surely lead to success in their endeavors. |
