What is your most memorable childhood experience? | I went to Korea when I was 7 years old. When my parents and I arrived at the airport, I could see snow coming down. I was excited, because I was born in Hong Kong, where there is no snow. My parents were also happy to see snow, because this was their first time as well. I learned that you don't wash your clothes and hang them to dry at night, because the next day they become ice. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | My mother is a strong businesswoman. She liked to take charge and give orders when she was young. She does everything for good reasons. She always looks to the future and makes sure she is prepared. She also helped at home after work to clean up and cook dinner when she was available. She would decide what to cook for the entire week up front to get the shopping list ready, and she scheduled everything in order. I do admire her efficiency and organization. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I believe you have to think before you do, which will give you enough time to react when things go wrong. The right mindset will always be prepared. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best, and always have plan B and C in place. Study more, have more knowledge in you. Be prepared for everything in school or work so that when the time comes, you will shine like a star. Be kind and honest to people because when you help people, they may help you when you need it. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | Once I got stuck between the wall and the bed frame. I was playing hide and seek and was trying to be the last one found. I was so focused on hiding that I didn’t realize that I was stuck until they found me. They helped pull me out and everything turned out great. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I want to explore what others don't. I have the spirit of an explorer. I’ve always wanted to see polar bears in the wild, and other animals in nature. Based on the scientific research, in the near future, all the ice will be melted, and the melting speed is increasing every year, I hope I will be able to see the north and south poles before it all melts away. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I believe every child should have a correct mindset, and should not lie, and be nice to everyone, and know how to identify what is wrong. I hope they will inherit my height because I believe that taller people have things much easier in life. They are able to do more and will be better in most sports. I am very good at swimming, and I do hope that will be passed on to my children. |
