What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience was probably the two-week kayaking trip my family went on. We went camping, fishing, sightseeing, and at the end they had awards for us kids. I learned a lot about the outdoors and how to start a fire, set up a tent, and life away from electronics. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify most with my dad because he's incredibly ambitious, prepared, and hardworking. His dedication to his business, finances, and our family has always been evident. I share his ambition and work ethic, and I'm proud of the life I'm building away from home, managing my finances, and growing professionally. His example continues to inspire me every day. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I admire ambition, an open mind, and intelligence. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | One of the funniest things that ever happened to me was in college at a friend's party. They had this massive, overly friendly dog. The party was great, but as I was leaving, I felt a strange poke in my butt. Startled, I jumped, and the giant dog, probably thinking it was a game, charged out the door, knocking me flat on my back. Picture it: me on the ground, the dog doing a victory lap around the yard, and a bunch of drunk college kids trying to wrangle this canine escape artist. It turned into a half-hour, comedy-worthy chase scene, with people diving, tripping, and yelling "Here, boy!" while the dog seemed to be having the time of its life. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I've been to several places in Europe, Japan, and just about everywhere in North America but I've never done the jungle/safari experience. I would love to traverse vast amounts of jungle areas in Brazil or in the Congo, traverse long stretches of wilderness and perhaps discover a new animal or something. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When I have children, I'd like to pass onto them a sense of ambition and of wonder about the world around them. I'd want to pass on a feeling that anything is achievable with enough effort. And obviously my good looks. |
