What is your most memorable childhood experience? | My most memorable childhood experience was running at the AAU Cross Country Nationals. It was very memorable because it was the biggest race that I ever ran in, and it was a fun family trip. I ended up placing highly and barely missed out on "All American" status. |
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | The immediate family member that I most closely identify with is my mother because we align on most things besides politics. I have a competing relationship with both my brother and father and am only able to have a genuine, open dialogue with my mother. She is very understanding and empathetic and she offers great advice in times of need. |
What character traits do you admire in an individual? | The character traits that I admire in an individual are those that allow them to live as their most authentic self. I value honesty and integrity and believe we all are guided by a moral compass that directs us to live with an internal integrity and direction. I also value people that are loyal and are going to stick with their people through thick and thin. |
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | The funniest thing that ever happened to me is getting pulled over by the Hoover Dam police after spending four nights in Las Vegas. I went on a spring break road trip with four buddies and after a few nights of debauchery two of my buddies were very hungover on our exodus from Vegas while I was the sober driver. Once we reached the Hoover Dam one of my hungover buddies rolled down a passenger window and puked out onto the Hoover Dam which caused us to get pulled over and questioned. It was hilarious. |
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would love to plan a trip to Greece and Italy. I love Roman and Greek mythology and think both countries are rich in history, boast amazing food and views, and have several landmarks that would be awesome to take in in person. I am also an avid fan of the Olympics so to see some of the original sites of the Olympics, it would be very impactful and cool to see. |
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | When and if I have children, I want to really focus on passing on three important traits to them: strong work ethic, high character, and a commitment to honesty. I want my children to know the value and importance of having a strong work ethic to be the jet fuel for them to accomplish their goals. I also want them to operate with a high sense of character, have integrity, and be guided by a strong moral compass that helps them distinguish between right and wrong. Lastly, I would want them to value honesty and be able to be forward and frank with people, as it would allow them to honor their word and have a reputation of being a straight shooter. |
