Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience? My most memorable childhood experience is playing the Wii with my three brothers and mom in the living room as we waited for my dad to get home from work. It happened on several nights as we did not get to see him often because he worked two jobs. We would wait for him and eventually fall asleep, although we did get to see him sometimes, which was really great. I enjoyed spending time with my brothers as well, which really did not happen much because most of them were older than me and we were always in different schools.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I closely identify with my aunt. I believe that she has the same personality and goals as me. She is the one who inspired me to go into the health field and pursue dentistry.
What character traits do you admire in an individual? The character traits I admire are honesty, optimism, and unselfishness. I admire honesty because I think it helps build trust and shows accountability in that person. I admire optimism in an individual because life can get hard sometimes and finding the positive side of things is sometimes difficult and challenging. I enjoy spending time around people that can look beyond a difficult challenge or circumstance and motivate themselves to succeed. Lastly, I admire unselfishness because I believe a lot of people are caught up in success so much that they forget to help others. It is something that I strive to do in my everyday life, and I admire it when I see it in someone else.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?The funniest thing that has ever happened to me was when I was walking with my girlfriend up a street, and we noticed a stray dog walking behind us. We continued walking and I kept telling my girlfriend that the dog was really cute, and I was going to pet it. My girlfriend told me to keep walking as we did not know what the dog would do. I then later felt a thump on my shoes, and I ignored it. It kept happening and I finally looked back, and it was the dog biting my brand-new shoes.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?If time and money were not an issue I would travel to South America because I want to get to know Peru and spend time with my mom’s side of the family who live there. I also know Spanish which would be great to have an easier time communicating with people in South America.
