What is your most memorable childhood experience?The most memorable child experience that I can recall would be the only family vacation I took with my mom and dad. We drove all the way to San Antonio to visit Sea World. It was an incredible adventure. It was the first time I can remember really bonding with my father. I remember how he carried himself as he did everything he could to protect his family everywhere we went.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I relate the most to my mother. She is my hero and my savior. She instilled confidence in me and a can-do attitude, encouraging me to follow my dreams. She is a natural leader, and helped me discover music, the arts and theatre.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire confidence, creativity and a sense of humor. Being able to make sense of the world while holding a smile to it makes people extraordinary human beings. This is a maxim I strive to live by every day of my life. Life is worth pursuing happiness.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?After taking my girlfriend at the time to meet my mother for the first time, she got along with her so well that they took off without me after we had dinner, not realizing I never got into the car. They circled back laughing hard after ten minutes finally realizing I wasn't in the back seat.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?There are so many places I'd like to go, one of which would be to London. Particularly, I'd like to see a Shakespeare play at the Globe Theatre.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would love to pass my creativity and kindness onto them. I would encourage them to follow their dreams and passions and would nurture their souls to be kind and generous.
