| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Running for middle school class president was maybe my most memorable childhood experience. It was in 8th grade, and I had just transferred to this middle school, so I knew only a few people. I made a campaign video and everyone in the school saw and loved it. I put up funny posters around the school and within several days I knew every student. I won the election and for the rest of the year goofed around as the president. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I closely identify with my father. We are very alike in values and mannerisms. I always idealized my father, and he has served as a strong role model throughout my life. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | A good sense of humor is the most important characteristic in being friends with me. I admire people that can balance an inquisitive nature with decisiveness. I have great respect for people that innovate solutions to problems. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | There’s this vegan organization that pretends to sell dog meat in order to make a statement about why eating any animal is wrong. I decided to go troll them. I pretended to think the dog meat was real and gave a very dramatic reaction. I stayed in character and had a very funny shouting match that my buddy watched. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money were not an issue I would go to Mars. I bet it would make for a good story. I’m sure my donor children would be pretty proud of that. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I hope my children share my proclivity for creative thought. Creativity paired with an understanding of reality makes you a powerful problem solver. I would be proud to see my children be open-minded and independent thinkers. |
