What is your most memorable childhood experience?One of the first things that comes to mind is a very specific Christmas. I was 7 years old, and I opened my gift which had a Game Boy Color and Pokémon Yellow. It was the first time my parents bought me a video game system and it was the first time I received a gift that I had requested.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I identify most with my father, although he is deceased now. His general demeanor and mine are similar. We are both more laid-back individuals and enjoy the little things in life.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire determination because I like it when people don’t let obstacles stop them from trying. Hard working ethic because it’s so easy to give up over time and lose sense of purpose. And lastly, a sense of humor because life is hard, and you should find the funny things in life.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?One time I was sprinting on a treadmill and tripped. I got launched into a bunch of equipment. It was early in the morning, so nobody really saw, but I was still embarrassed.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I’d travel to Norway, because the fjords look amazing. I don’t mind the cold weather, and I imagine I would feel very relaxed seeing them in person.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I hope to pass on my laid-back personality because I feel like it’s what helps me adapt to tough circumstances. I’m able to calmly process tough information without losing focus. I feel like if I could give anything to my kid, that would be the most useful thing.
