| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | The day I skied my first black diamond is one of my fondest and most clear memories. I finally got the courage to try the slope. My brother told me “You got this.” As I stood at the top I was mortified, but once I got in the rhythm, I felt an exhilarating rush. When we finally reached the bottom, I was breathless and ecstatic. When I finally made it to the bottom, the sense of accomplishment was overwhelming, and the bond with my brother felt stronger than ever. We high-fived, and he ruffled my helmet-clad head, pride shining in his eyes. Skiing that black diamond with my brother taught me the thrill of conquering fears and the strength and support family can give. |
