| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Every year, our family and friends would gather for a weekend camping trip, rain or shine. We’d head out to the woods, where the air was fresh and the adventures endless. Setting up tents, gathering firewood, and cooking over an open fire became our routine. We’d spend days fishing, hiking, and playing Boy Scout-like games, with ghost stories and s’mores around the campfire at night. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I identify with my father because of the example he has set for my siblings and me. I value his integrity, the strong relationship he maintains with my mother, and the high standards he sets as a business owner. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | I really admire integrity because it means someone stays honest and does the right thing, even when it’s hard. Empathy is another big one for me because people who truly listen to and understand others make the world a better place. And resilience, there’s something inspiring about someone who keeps pushing forward, no matter what life throws at them. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | I was in a foreign country and decided to try a local restaurant. Confidently, I ordered a dish I thought looked delicious. When it arrived, I took a bite and immediately realized it was extremely spicy. I started sweating and gasping for air, but the only water they had was sparkling, so I was stuck trying to cool down with bubbly water. Turns out, I had ordered the “extreme heat” version by mistake! The waiter returned, concerned, and I realized I’d just bitten into one of the hottest dishes on the menu. Other tourists at the restaurant looked just as shocked, and we all ended up sharing a laugh at our shared pain. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | I would love to travel to New Zealand because its natural landscapes are absolutely breathtaking. From mountains to beaches, it has everything for someone who loves the outdoors. Plus, its culture is so rich and unique, I’d love to experience it firsthand. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | I would want to teach them the importance of integrity, doing the right thing even when no one is watching. I’d also want them to be empathetic, to truly understand and care about others. Most of all, I’d hope to pass on a love for learning and exploring the world with curiosity and excitement. |
