| What is your most memorable childhood experience? | Childhood reminiscing is everything. I had many memorable childhood experiences one being learning how to ride a bike with the encouragement of my cousin. At first it felt impossible I kept on falling. I was giving it my all, but I kept on losing balance and falling. The sun was setting, and I kept on trying. It was one of my last attempts as we were getting ready to stop for the day. Somehow this time around I did not fall, and I had control of the bicycle. I felt so much reward, so much freedom. I had done something that felt impossible at first, I was able to accomplish it with determination. |
| What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why? | I am very family oriented. I always try to stay relevant with what is going on with the family. I am blessed to have a united family. For that I need to give credit to my maternal grandma. I identify with my grandma because she has shown the importance of keeping the family united. She let it be known that no one is left behind. If you are going to give something to your sibling, make sure not to leave the other siblings out. Have a gift ready for all your siblings or no gift at all. This teaches you not to disparage your family. |
| What character traits do you admire in an individual? | A character trait that I admire in an individual is trustworthiness. It gives you peace of mind. It shows a person's reliability, honesty, and ability to be dependable. Being trustworthy means one counts on you to act with integrity and keep your promises , which is an essential quality in building lasting strong relationships. Once trust is lost the relationship won't be the same. |
| What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you? | Back in high school, I learned a new wrestling move. I picked it up naturally, so I decided to adopt it in my matches. New move, new me—I was winning all my matches in quick fashion. Arm over, arm under, spin, throw, win—back-to-back victories. Then came one of the biggest high school wrestling tournaments. I went for my beloved move: arm over, arm under, spin, and boom—I was lying flat on the mat, having lost the match after being countered with my own move. That was funny. |
| If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why? | If time and money were not an issue. I will find myself in a place where the people are joyful 24/7. Where the sun blesses the days all year round. Where having a conversation with a random person is the norm. Where you know who your neighbors are. Where so many tourists go to have their yearly vacation. A place of comfort. I will say the Dominican Republic. |
| When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them? | They say the best thing you can give your children does not require money. Practice what you preach. If I were to have children, I would pass on my values and morals to them. These principles have guided me throughout my student and professional career. They provide a framework for how to conduct oneself, regardless of location or situation. Some of them are: "Be tolerant with others and strict with yourself." "Because most of what we say and do is not essential. Ask yourself at every moment, 'Is this necessary?'”, and “You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” |
