Essay Questions

What is your most memorable childhood experience?I always remember how much I loved to play outside with my friends, riding our bicycles and sometimes we played some jokes on the neighbors.
What immediate family member do you closely identify with and why?I closely identify with my cousin. We were born the same year, and we have many things in common. Even our faces look almost the same. Whenever somebody meets us for the first time, they think we are brothers. We went to kindergarten together and every time we see each other we get really excited about it.
What character traits do you admire in an individual?I admire people being organized and clean, who don’t give up easily and keep trying until they succeed.
What is the funniest thing ever to happen to you?I was 15 or 16 years old when I was at my first Halloween party. My friends and I decided to stay next to my friend’s house but in a camping house. My friend (the host) had a little dog who was running around us happy because she loved to play with us. After the party it was late and we all wanted to go to sleep but suddenly a really bad smell appeared from nowhere, it was intensified with time. There was a point where we all were searching in the middle of the night because we couldn’t get to sleep because of the strong smell. It wasn’t until we checked ourselves that we found out one of our friends stepped on a squishy poop and he spread it through the whole camping house because he was walking inside of it a lot trying to find the poop. We all ended up almost throwing up after we gave him a shower.
If time and money were not an issue, where would you travel and why?I will travel back to Mexico to the same city I was raised in so I can be able to see my family at least once a week. I can eat all my favorite dishes (no matter what time it is, there is always a place open where you can eat delicious food) and also because over there all of my true friends live and I can hang out with them again.
When and if you ever have children, what would you like to pass on to them?I would like to pass my knowledge on how to do things that I wish somebody told me when I was younger and when I needed it. I also will teach stuff to make their life easier in the future (like two or more languages), to be disciplined about everything and to not complain about life instead of enjoying it. Also, I will tell them not to take life so seriously because at the end what only matters is that you enjoyed the moment.
